Grant McCann is expecting a good open game when Hull City travel to Middlesbrough on Sunday lunchtime. The Tigers will aim to continue some impressive recent away form which has seen them win three of their last four on the road, and McCann is looking forward to the trip to the Riverside Stadium. "I think both teams will go into the game in a confident mood despite not winning the last game before the international break," said McCann. "Middlesbrough put in a very good performance at QPR and probably should have won the game, while we put in a good performance against West Brom and possibly should have had a point out of it. "I know that we'll certainly go there with confidence and I think it will be a good game.
I think it will be an open one, and Middlesbrough have players that can hurt you if you switch off especially in the forward areas. I actually played with Britt Assombalonga at Peterborough and he was phenomenal. He's scored goals wherever he's played so we know what we're coming up against with him. "We'll be going there looking to play our game and hopefully we'll come away with the right result. "It's a tough game and the Riverside is never an easy place to go to – I remember making my debut for West Ham there many moons ago, so there are fond memories there for me and hopefully we can add some more this weekend. "Although Middlesbrough haven't won many at home this season, they have been very hard to beat. We'll go there looking at what we can do, though, and concentrate on ourselves."
