Between 6am and 7am on Thursday, another 5,000 customers reported issues with their service, and have been looking for answers to their network issues. Despite the influx of reports of service outage from users, Three did not appear to respond to customers with an update until Thursday morning. The company said in a tweet: "We're currently experiencing technical difficulties with voice, text and data, meaning some of you will be experiencing intermittent service. Please accept our apologies, we're sorting this out right now. Check back here for updates." 'A bit of communication would be appreciated' Frustrated customers have been voicing their issues with the network on Twitter under hashtag #threedown, calling the network's communication over the matter "ridiculous". "Your network has been down for around 6hrs with absolutely no explanation or even an apology from you," one Twitter user said. "We know you have [customer service advisors] that work 24hrs so why the lack of information? Just tell us what is going on." Three customer Jeff Palmer tweeted: "I've been with Three for years and never had any issues. "It's annoying the service is down and I'm sure they are doing their best to get it working but a bit of communication would be appreciated." Other customers have asked the network for compensation, accusing the network of "awful crisis management." The network has three million customers in the UK, and is said to employ 4000 people. According to online service monitoring website DownDetector, the issues with Three began at around 11pm on Wednesday. The majority of users who flagged the issue with DownDetector cited problems with mobile internet. The incident came on the day another mobile operator - O2 - became the latest to begin the rollout of its next-generation 5G network.
