An Amazon plant in Dunfermline, Fife has been sealed off after a suspicious package prompted a bomb scare. Reports from the scene say Police Scotland have closed off a number of road around the facility. A Police Scotland spokesperson said they responded to reports of suspicious package at around 5:30pm. The building has been evacuated and a cordon is in place. Bomb disposal are en route, cops said.
Pictures and video from the area show the police in attendance with the roads around the facility closed to traffic and pedestrians. Edinburgh Live understand workers due to start the nightshift were told not to turn up for work. The 93,000 square metre facility packs and distributes Amazon packages across Scotland the North of England. It is the size of around 14 football pitches.
