Magpas Air Ambulance, along with all other emergency services, were called to the scene after the crash involving a van and lorry at around 1.30pm on January 14. Police say injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but the full details are still unclear.

"Officers attended the scene and the road was closed while recovery takes place. It has now re-opened." A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We sent two rapid response vehicles, our hazardous area response team, an ambulance crew and an air ambulance from MAGPAS. "One patient was assessed and treated on scene, and one further patient was assessed and transported to Peterborough City Hospital for further care." The A47 has re-opened after a large stretch of road was closed following reports of concern for the welfare of a person. Emergency services were called to the Soke Parkway at 12.18pm to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.


The road was shut between the Thorpe Wood roundabout with the Nene Parkway and the Eye Roundabout, causing long delays and diversions, as well as disruption to bus services. At 3pm police said the road had re-opened, and the man was safe and well with medical teams. UPDATE: The road has now been re-opened. PREVIOUSLY: The A47 is closed between Guyhirn and Thorney. The road is closed and traffic is queuing in both directions due to an accident at 1.39pm on the A47 South Brink.
