Addie Andrews has opened up about her Mormon faith. An adult film star has opened up about ditching her strict Mormon faith after feeling she was losing her identity. Addie Andrews, from Florida, was recently named Penthouse magazine's 'Pet of the Month', a stark contrast from where she was a mere two years ago. Speaking to the New York Post the 30-year-old porn star revealed how she grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest with "little freedom" and was required by her parents to be religious. But while she said the church took her in and was "so welcoming", she eventually realised the deeper she got into the religion the "farther from my own identity I got".

But when she wasn't allowed to be her sister's bridesmaid because the church claimed the dress was "immodest", it made Addie reconsider her Mormon faith. So in 2017 she stopped going to church, and the following year moved to California. Despite having a bachelor's Addie initially struggled to get work as even a waitress, while she pursued an acting career. View photos Her family are 'open-minded' about her new career.
Addie left the church and moved to California to become an acting career. Addie told the Post: "I was very sexually repressed! But she says she started to question her religion when she had to turn down being bridesmaid at her sister's wedding as the dress was too 'immodest' by Mormon standards. Addie also started to miss singing, dancing and acting, which had all been passions of hers until she joined the church. So, in 2017, she decided to stop attending church and a year later moved to California to try and become an actress.
"The church took me in, was so welcoming, and wanted to do well by me," says the 173cm blond beauty. "The problem is not just that premarital sex is denied but that they make it out to be a very serious sin and shameful thing to do," says Andrews. She couldn't be sexual, watch movies with her family on the Sabbath or even be her sister's bridesmaid — because the bridesmaid dress was "immodest" by Mormon standards. The following year, she moved to California to become an actor, but despite having a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, she couldn't even find work as a waitress. "I knew that they'd be a little shocked when I told them about my adult work," she says. "My brother said, 'I will definitely never watch your porn, but you seem happier than ever, so I support your decision.'" A former Mormon missionary has opened up about how she ditched the "sexually repressed" church for a life as a porn star. Addie Andrews grew up in an extremely religious household and was forced to attend church. At 17, she was allowed to choose which Mormon church she attended, saying she "felt the most fulfilled when I was physically helping people"," she told the New York Post. But the bombshell adult entertainer revealed she had "little freedom" and only had sex once before the age of 26 and chose to accept Mormonism, a religion fiercely against premarital sex. The now 29-year-old said she did many great things but felt further from her own identity. Dedicated to her religion, she spent 18 months on a mission to help spread the word of the church across her state, which she says left her feeling like "a nun". She couldn't be sexual, watch movies with her family on the Sabbath or even be her sister's bridesmaid — because the bridesmaid dress was "immodest" by Mormon standards. Her inability to be in her sibling's wedding party made Andrews reconsider her Mormon faith. After not being able to find work, she took up exotic dancing where she started receiving numerous messages from porn agents. "I started getting contacted by a lot of porn agents," says the curvy adult film starlet, who today has more than 70,000 Instagram followers. While her change of lifestyle was a shock to her family, Andrews said they have accepted her for who she is. "I knew that they'd be a little shocked when I told them about my adult work," she says. A Mormon missionary who claimed she felt 'sexually repressed' by the church has now become a popular porn star. Addie Andrews has risen to the top of the porno world, recently being named Penthouse magazine's 'Pet of the Month', despite her religious past. As per the New York Post, she said: Addie grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest where her parents pushed her into a religious lifestyle. The porn star said followers 'were so welcoming and wanted to do well by me'. She had only had sex once before becoming a Mormon, and from then on she stuck to the religion's strict rules against premarital sex because she said it was 'a very serious sin and shameful thing to do'. In 2017, she stopped attending church and by the following year had moved to California to become an actress. It was her dancing, Addie says, that led people to become interested in her curvy physique, explaining, 'I started getting contacted by a lot of porn agents.' My brother said, 'I will definitely never watch your porn, but you seem happier than ever, so I support your decision.' Although they're accepting of her new life, Addie's family have understandably chosen not to follow her career.
