Bianca Andreescu is the prototype of the modern tennis player and of the perfect champion. This year she demonstrated all her physical, technical, tactical and mental skills. The Canadian has a steel-trap-like mind and a game of tennis with qualities that can win many Slams and become one of the greatest tennis players of all time. Obviously, as happened in the past with other her colleagues, caution is a must. Andreescu has a solid, fast and linear tennis, able to waste little energy.
Her forehand goes fast and flat. Her backhand, similar to that of Serena Williams is strong and precise. Her tennis is almost standard, but applied at a very high level, with a fabulous concentration. Her variations are a weapon often lethal to her opponents. Moreover, Andreescu has a secret weapon that few of her rivals have: a great vision of the game space and of its geometries, combined with devastating timing. Bianca can tame all the WTA players; if she holds the brunt of popularity and she will be able to handle the pressure, then she can become one of the best tennis players the WTA Tour has ever seen. The three titles won in 2019 cannot only be a case. At Indian Wells, at the Rogers Cup and at the US Open she won by dominating all her opponents. Her weak point? Injuries. This year Andreescu missed five months due to physical problems, playing only ten tournaments. In total, she lost only four matches this year and she withdrawn on two occasions. If in 2020 she will be able to be physically intact, then we will see her as the absolute protagonist in all tournaments and on all surfaces.
