Billy and Joe Smith, aged 32, who took part in a 2014 episode, are understood to have taken their own lives near Sevenoaks, Kent, on Saturday. A Facebook page set up in their memory has 3,000 followers, and hundreds have posted personal tributes to the pair. Family member Carla Rumsey, who set up the Facebook page, said the pair were "such big characters" who were greatly loved and who "lived for each other and their family". Cousin to the pair, Pheobe Charleen Smith also took to Facebook, calling the men "stars" and saying " the stars belong in the sky".

She said they were "more like brothers" than cousins to her, and called them her inspirations, and the strongest people she knew. Paddy Doherty, one of the stars of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, posted a video tribute, saying the deaths of the "two good looking boys" were a "terrible tragedy". Kent Police said the twins' deaths were not being treated as suspicious and officers were preparing a file for the coroner. Billy and Joe Smith, 32, who appeared in the show's third series alongside Paddy Doherty, were found on Saturday morning in a quiet country lane in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Their cousin, Phoebe Charleen Smith, has broken her silence to reveal the family had concerns about Billy and Joe in the weeks leading up to their death. According to Phoebe, Joey had been diagnosed with cancer recently and his brother Billy allegedly struggled to cope with the news. Speaking to The Telegraph yesterday, Phoebe revealed: 'Joey told the family he got the all-clear after chemo two months ago, but we don't know if that's true now.' After learning the news of his brother's poor health, Billy allegedly told him: 'I'd never be able to live without you.' The twins appeared in My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding in 2013 (Picture: Channel 4) Recalling what happened in the hours before their death, Phoebe continued: 'They went missing, and Joey's phone was turned off. 'It said that they wanted it like this, and we would find them in the woods where they played with the family years ago.' Billy's partner Kristina Delaney paid an emotional tribute to the brothers in a Facebook post, where she described him as 'perfect, pure and lovely'. My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy also spoke out to remember the twins fondly and said: 'Two good looking boys, God bless their souls.

They're in the kingdom of heaven walking on gold.' Billy and Joe were described as Romani Gypsies when they appeared on the show at the age of 24.
