Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Saunders will star in a limited run of Sister Act The Musical in London next summer. The Academy Award-winning Goldberg returns to the role of Deloris Van Cartier 28 years after starring in the film of the same name. Saunders, who is also set to star in a West End transfer of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, plays Mother Superior, a nun who takes Deloris into her convent when she witnesses a mafia hit. Sister Act comes to London following a spring UK tour and will run for just 39 performances from July 29-August 30 at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
