Dynasty star Liz Gillies has married music composer Michael Corcoran after postponing her wedding due to coronavirus. Gillies, 27, announced she tied the knot with Corcoran, 47, on August 8 in an intimate garden ceremony in New Jersey. On September 17, the actress shared a photo of her exchanging vows with Corcoran under the altar, which was decorated with flowers. In another snap, she's leaning over to kiss Corcoran in her beautiful satin wedding dress. "8•8•20," Gillies captioned the posts.
In an interview with Vogue, Gillies opened up about her nuptials and how the couple initially planned on getting married on April 25. Aside from the obvious travel and crowd restrictions, it didn't feel right to be celebrating in such a big way when there was so much going on in the world. It would have been in poor taste to burden people by asking them to risk their lives to come to our wedding. There were more important things to focus on. Our wedding could wait." "It really focused everything down to what matters in life," Corcoran added. "A big, extravagant experience in the middle of a pandemic didn't make any sense." The couple's ceremony was held at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms in New Jersey with only 10 guests in attendance. "We got tested before we left and quarantined with my family for two weeks before the wedding," she told the outlet. "With everything going on, it felt so nice to be in my childhood home with nothing to do but relax leading up to the big day. We cooked and took the dogs for long walks and really just enjoyed each other's company."
