He now has a race against time to be fit for the December 8 Hampden final with Rangers. Elhamed posted on Instagram that he'd received "bad news" yesterday after tests on his groin.
He wrote: "Bad news this morning but I will be back stronger. 2 Elhamed's Instagram story post "Thank God always." The defender is also set to pull out of Israel's upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers with Poland and North Macedonia. Celtic boss Neil Lennon has used Elhamed in big Euro and domestic games - and his absence from the Old Firn final would be a blow.
