TRAIN services have been delayed after an incident near a railway station. Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to deal with a serious incident near Southend Central Station. Several trains were cancelled, some were delayed and many stopped at Leigh while police and paramedics dealt with a casualty. The incident near Southend Central has affected the whole network of c2c trains and disruptions are expected until 4pm today (December 22). Essex Police, British Transport Police and the ambulance service have been contacted for further details.
A spokesman for c2c said: "Some services may still be delayed by up to 7 minutes. "Arrangements previously made with Arriva Bus, Arriva Bus Route 9 between Shoeburyness & Southend Bus Station, Arriva Bus Route 8, Arriva Bus Route 7 and Arriva Bus Route 1 to convey passengers have now been withdrawn. "Arrangements previously made with Greater Anglia, London Underground and TFL Rail to convey passengers have now been withdrawn."
