'I choose you!' Google lets you vote for your favorite Pokémon Charmander, I choose you! Kids in the '90s grew up adoring the Pokémon franchise, and ever since the first episode aired, fans of the animated show would debate over which animal-like character was the best. Now, ahead of Pokémon Day 2020, Google will help put that debate to rest. The tech giant teamed up with the anime company to host the first-ever official "Pokémon of the Year" competition. Fans of the show, movies and video games can participate by casting votes every day through Feb. 14.
To cast a vote, simply Google "Pokémon Vote" and the top search result is a voting form. You get one vote per category. If you want multiple votes in a single day, you'll have to sign into another Google account and vote from there. Emoji: iPhone and Android users are getting 117 new characters in 2020 There are eight categories of animated characters to choose from, such as Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinno. On the show, the animal-like creatures are grouped based on biological characteristics. There are hundreds of Pokémon included in the competition, so you may have to side scroll for quite a while to find your favorite. Right now, there aren't details about when and how the winner will be announced. However, Pokémon Day festivities begin on Feb. 27. In case you didn't know, Pokémon Day marks the release of the original Japanese Pokémon video games in 1996. Various events around the world are held in celebration of the show.
