There has been a lot of speculation regarding who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. It was even rumoured that The Undertaker could be the headliner this time as he is not scheduled to compete at WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey. After some delay, WWE has finally announced that the six members of D-Generation X will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April. The six members of the iconic staple that will be honoured are Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac. "We now have just one question for the WWE Hall of Fame: Are You Ready!?" (D-Generation X to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Most controversial name to be inducted to the Hall of Fame is that of Chyna. There is no doubt that Chyna was a groundbreaking performer in the WWE during the Attitude Era as she was the first woman to really wrestle against men in singles matches. But her exit from the company was controversial as a rumoured strain in relationship with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon led to her WWE career to end. The fans have been clamouring for her induction to happen for a while now and this will definitely bring joy to them. However, Chyna will be another wrestle to receive the honour posthumously after she died at her home in April 2016. DX first made its appearance in late 1997, with the original incarnation of the group including Michaels, Triple H, Chyna and Rick Rude. However, Michaels had to leave the WWE soon as he needed time to heal a back injury. Triple H then introduced X-Pac, Road Dogg and Gunn as the newest members. DX was one of the most popular members of the WWE as they had some memorable segments during their tenure. DX has had brief reunions over the years but it has mostly involved Michaels and Triple H. The last match DX wrestled was at the Crown Jewel event in November 2018 where Michaels returned to the ring for the first time in over eight years to team with Triple H in taking on the Brothers of Destruction, The Undertaker and Kane. The 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 6 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It's been a long time coming, but Chyna will finally get her place in WWE history. Every year, rumors go crazy about who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. This year, one name will be crossed off the list: The Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna. She'll be part of a group induction, as the legendary D-Generation X will mark their spot in this year's WWE Hall of Fame. For one, Shawn Michaels will be a two-time inductee, as he was previously put in as a singles entry back in 2011. Now he will be recognized for being the co-founder to perhaps the second biggest faction aside from the New World Order to overtake professional wrestling. D-Generation X is heading to the WWE Hall of Fame! But the biggest spotlight on DX getting the nod is the inclusion of the late Joanie Laurer, better known as Chyna. Triple H spoke with ESPN about the decision to put her into the Hall of Fame. When I said a few years ago on the Austin podcast, or show, or whatever you want to call it, there's complexities around it. It'd be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn't even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn't even a consideration … it wasn't an easy thing, and against all odds she did all of that. She earned everybody's trust. She won over the fans. Unfortunately, Chyna passed away in 2016, and there have been questions as to if and when she would ever be inducted. Those questions will finally get answered in April. She was a revolutionary member of WWE. Also on the DX induction menu will be the New Age Outlaws, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and Billy Gunn. They were a controversial tag team put together after their singles careers were lost in the shuffle. It turned out to be life-changing, as they were part of one of the most entertaining eras in wrestling history. They will join X-Pac, who was a longtime friend of Shawn Michaels and Triple H, as part of "The Kliq" with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Edition - X-Box One Buy Now! Buy Now!
