The next victim was abducted the following Friday in Chingford, north London, at about 00:30, with the third targeted at 12:15 in Edgware. Both women, aged in their 20s, were raped before being driven to a hotel in Watford, where the suspect attempted to book a room but left when one was unavailable. The Met said 33-year-old McCann, who has connections in Watford, Aylesbury and Ipswich, is known to use false names. Det Ch Insp Katherine Goodwin said: "We would ask anyone with any information about McCann's whereabouts to contact us immediately. "McCann is considered extremely dangerous and a risk to the public and we ask people not to approach him, but instead call 999." McCann is described as white, with a muscular build, a bald head or shaved blond hair and a light-coloured short beard.

A man, aged 33, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rape and released as inquiries continue. Police are still hunting their prime suspect following the abduction and rape of two women in Chingford and Edgware. Joseph McCann, 34, is wanted in connection with attacks on two young women on Thursday (April 25) and a third rape in Watford in the early hours of April 21. Officers are offering a reward of up to £20,000 in exchange for information which leads to McCann's arrest and prosecution. The North London victims, both in their twenties, were seized from a Chingford street at around 12.30am and an Edgware street at 12.15pm respectively.

Their attacker drove them to a hotel in Watford and attempted to book a room at around 1pm, just an hour-and-a-half before the women were finally able to fight him off in Osborne Road and escape. McCann's name was given to police after a public appeal on Sunday (April 28) when detectives released CCTV images of their suspect. McCann has links to Watford, Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and Ipswich in Suffolk. As seen in the pictures provided by police, McCann is of muscular build, with either a bald head or close-cropped blond hair and light-coloured short beard. He is 5ft 10, has blue eyes, speaks with a slight Irish accent and is said to have a distinctive tattoo of the name 'Bobbie' on his stomach.

However, officers believe McCann may attempt to disguise his appearance and say he is "known to use false names", most recently "Joel". "If you see Joseph McCann, do not approach him as he is considered extremely dangerous but instead call 999 immediately. The two victims, who police believe were chosen at random, were seized from two streets about 12 hours apart. They were both quickly driven to Watford, where their attacker attempted to book a hotel room at around 1pm. Officers are currently attempting to trace a silver or grey-coloured Ford S-Max people carrier with false registration plates, seen in CCTV footage from a Watford hotel, captured at around 1pm on the day of the London attacks.
