Havertz could have left Leverkusen last summer but opted to stay because of Champions League football.

Liverpool have made Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz their top transfer priority, according to reports. The 20-year-old has also been linked with Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Havertz has been in superb form for the Bundesliga side in recent seasons and is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Liverpool are prepared to 'bet heavily' on the forward. The Reds are said to be willing to make an offer of £107million (€125m) as they look to further strengthen their squad.
