I'm A Celebrity cast 2020 leaves ITV viewers baffled over 'missing' contestants

As usual there were rumours swirling over who the 2020 cast could be for weeks prior to the announcement, this was fuelled further after the celebrities were spotted at what was thought to be an ITV promotional photoshoot in London last month. Both singer Russell Watson and dancer Ruthie Henshall, known for her West End roles, were spotted at the event at the end of October, but ITV left fans baffled when they weren't announced as part of the line-up last night. While the rumours could simply be rumours, their absence left many ITV viewers convinced the pair will be this year's late arrivals to camp, although this hasn't been confirmed. "So, no Ruthie Henshall or Russell Watson... unless they are the late comers!" said one social media user. (Image: ITV) While another guessed: "That means Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson will be the late arrivals #ImACeleb." And a third questioned: "So I take it Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall are the late arrivals?" "Looks like Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall are this year's late entrants #ImACeleb," suggested a fourth. And they could be right, as a show insider told The Mirror: "Every year there are one or two late entries as wild cards and this year with the coronavirus at least a couple of celebrities have been held back in case anyone has to pull out. "Just because Russell and Ruthie are not going into the show at the beginning, it does not mean they are not going to be campmates. Watch this space." Last year Coronation Street star Andy Whyment and former EastEnders actor Cliff 'Minty' Parisi were camp's late arrivals and both had been heavily rumoured prior to their entry into the jungle. They made their entrance about three days after the show started. Viewers will have to tune in on Sunday, November 15 at 9pm to get all the latest from the I'm A Celeb castle in Abergele.
