The Imps have been hit by Covid-19 after returning four positive tests among players and staff after a round of testing earlier this week. The individuals affected are self-isolating. Of the team which started last weekend's 2-1 win at Wimbledon, Joe Walsh and Tom Hopper are not involved.
Harry Anderson, who fell ill before the Wimbledon game, is also not in the squad. Walsh and Hopper's places go to Adam Jackson and Remy Howarth. Alex Palmer lines up in goal behind a back four of TJ Eyoma, Lewis Montsma, Jackson and Tayo Edun. Liam Bridcutt, James Jones and Jorge Grant will be the midfield three with Brennan Johnson, Howarth and Anthony Scully up front. The six-man bench is made up of Sam Long, Max Melbourne, Robbie Gotts, Zack Elbouzedi, new loan signing Morgan Rogers and Sean Roughan. Peterborough have also had Covid issues and this is their first game since mid-December due to virus-related postponements. Posh forward Siriki Dembele, who was sent off a minute after coming off the bench during the last meeting between the sides on New Year's Day 2020, is in the starting XI. Dembele shocked the club by handing in a transfer request earlier this week amid reported interest from Rangers, Celtic, Nottingham Forest and Derby County. Imps: Palmer; Eyoma, Montsma, Jackson, Edun; Bridcutt, Grant, Jones; Scully, Johnson, Howarth. Subs: Long, Melbourne, Gotts, Elbouzedi, Rogers, Roughan.
