The horror accident happened at around 3am on Wednesday on the A78 in Inverkip. The 40-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene by police on Inverkip Road. The 38-year-old driver of a silver Rover car was uninjured. Sergeant Mark McGowan said:"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this tragic time."
