The celebrity, who hasn't yet been named, is currently in self-isolation following their positive result and it hasn't been confirmed if they will still be taking part in the show when it kicks off next weekend. An ITV spokesperson told Digital Spy: "We can confirm that one member of the cast has received a positive covid result and that individual is self-isolating where we are giving them all the support that they need. The full 2020 cast has now been confirmed, but due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the location has been moved from the Australian jungle to the Welsh countryside – Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, to be specific. Heading there will be TV presenter Vernon Kay, broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, actor Shane Richie, Paralympic gold medallist Hollie Arnold and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North. Also going into the castle will be Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard, former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard, author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah and former EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer.

The upcoming series in North Wales is unprecedented due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with producers being forced to swap the jungle for the Welsh seaside in light of COVID-related travel restrictions. ITV recently confirmed that one of its cast members, thought to be AJ Pritchard, had recently tested positive for COVID-19 and was currently self-isolating, but clearly that hasn't prevented him from taking part in the series. North is destined to be one of the more comical contestants in this year's I'm a Celebrity line-up, although we wonder how long the good humour will hold up in the cold, spartan conditions expected in this year's series. Biography: The former host of the Victoria Derbyshire Show was recently spotted by The Sun heading into a rumoured photoshoot for the upcoming series alongside other celebrities expected to take part. Phobias: "I am not a fan of spiders or confined spaces and I don't know what I am going to be like when I get there!" Biography: Bev has been entertaining ITV viewers as Corrie's Liz McDonald for decades now, so it's no surprise that I'm A Celebrity bosses were keen to have Beverley on the show. Viewers warmed up a week in advance with a one-off special, I'm a Celebrity: A Jungle Story, which aired on Sunday November 8. For the first time, celebrities won't compete to be crowned King of Queen of the Jungle.

The 28-year old has already spent two weeks isolating near the town of Abergele on the north coast of Wales after being approached by ITV producers, The Sun reports. It's understood that Chelcee has been primed to appear on the show should any of its current crop of stars deliver positive coronavirus results when it finally launches from Gwyrch Castle on November 15th. Concern: The former Strictly Come Dancing professional's participation has been questioned after testing positive for COVID-19 Like the other contestants AJ had a routine Covid test, which came back positive.
