John Frusciante Red Hot Chili Peppers Josh Klinghoffer

John Frusciante is back in the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the first time in a decade. The band announced the news on Instagram, saying that Josh Klinghoffer is out of the band after 10 years and Frusciante is back in. He departed the band and returned in 1998. He appeared on their albums Californication, By the Way, and Stadium Arcadium. He left the band in 2009. The group's current guitarist Josh Klinghoffer is leaving after a decade. A message on the band's Instagram said: "The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past ten years, Josh Klinghoffer. It continued: "We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group. "Thank you." Red Hot Chili Peppers is comprised of frontman Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea and drummer Chad Smith. Frusciante was with the rock band from 1988 until 1992.

He then rejoined in 1998 and remained with them until 2009. Today, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are enough of a behemoth within rock music that one can't imagine them ever shaking up their ranks too much, or wanting to. That said, the band is now doing just that, as it was announced today that guitarist John Klinghoffer will be parting ways with the Chili Peppers — but his replacement is none other that former RHCP guitarist John Frusciante. Red Hot Chili Peppers have confirmed that John Frusciante is re-joining the band. The group have worked with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer for a decade, releasing two albums - 'I'm With You' and 'The Getaway' - in the process. Now the guitarist will depart, with the band confirming the news on social media. In a statement Red Hot Chili Peppers thanked Josh Klinghoffer, calling him "a beautiful music who we respect and love".
