Jeffery Simmons makes Titans debut against L.A. Chargers Jeffery Simmons was doubted and questioned when the Titans drafted the defensive lineman 19th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. His ACL tear in February set him back, but after months of rehab, he took the field Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Simmons, a former Mississippi State standout, was in good spirits before the game while signing autographs and shaking hands with fans before preparing for his first run out of the tunnel. Moments later, Simmons ran out with the defense for its first series of the game. Although speculation has ended about Simmons' first appearance, what remains a variable is how the the 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman will feature as the season wears on.
