The BBC continues its partnership with Agatha Christie's beloved work as it airs its new take on the acclaimed crime writer's story The Pale Horse. The drama will be keeping viewers on their sofas as it plays out over the course of two episodes. Here's a look at the setting and locations for the miniseries. Trending Where is The Pale Horse set? The title refers to pale horse ridden by Death in the Bible in Revelation 6:8 but in the story is a pub. Most of the action takes place in 1961 in London and also a quaint English village called Much Deeping. Mark finds his life starting to crumble after his name is discovered written on a list hidden in dead woman's shoe. As he searches for meaning to the ominous list, which includes the names of two deceased people, he travels to Much Deeping to find out more. However, things get worse for him in Much Deeping as he feels sinister forces are at work and closing in on him. The Pale Horse: Bisley doubled up for Much Deeping The Pale Horse is set in the 1960s and is adapted from an Agatha Christie novel Mark starts to think witches could be involved in the strange goings-on in his life as his marriage to his second wife Hermia (Kaya Scodelario) falls apart. Reflecting on the setting, Sewell said: "England in this period is new to me - it feels like a different world. It's an exciting period to explore with great suits! "It's interesting for me because I come from a very different background to Mark and I really enjoyed slipping into that. According to the Bristol Post, The Bottle Yard Studios were also used for the shoot. Mark's Chelsea apartment was recreated in a studio lot with scenes filmed over the summer. The city's Denmark Street doubled up for Soho during the Swinging Sixties.
