Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Dumbarton. Reported to Police Scotland at 9.20am, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were also scrambled to the scene, on the A82 northbound. Police say a man has been taken to Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley, while a woman has also been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow. The conditions of both people remain unknown. The crash involved two vehicles.
West Dunbartonshire Council has confirmed the A82 at Milton has been closed due to the accident. The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment. The incident took place at 9.32pm and officers are currently on the scene. One lane has also been closed on the eastbound lane.
Diversions are in place. A police spokesman said: "There has been a crash involving two vehicles on the A82 near to Greenhead Road. "The westbound carriageway is surently closed and one lane is also closed on the eastbound carriageway. Emergency services attended the scene in Milton shortly after the collision at 9.20am on Friday. Police, fire and rescue and ambulance personnel were in attendance and the A82 northbound is restricted, with traffic advised to approach with caution.
