Sorry, there seem to be some issues. Please try again later. Lee Burge: 6/10 Enjoyed a quiet uneventful night, barely had a save to make.

Luke O'Nien: 8/10 Got through a lot of defensive work and showed greater discipline than in previous performances in a back four under Jack Ross. Jordan Willis: 7/10 Willis is playing with a serious amount of confidence at the moment, he even managed some impressive barnstorming runs out of defence. Joel Lynch: 7/10 Made some telling interceptions early on and looked assured throughout. Denver Hume: 7/10 Showed greater belief and footballing intelligence, breaking forward down the left. George Dobson: 6/10 For all his energy and obvious talent, Dobson still needs to sharpen up his decision-making both with and without the ball, he produced an energetic if error-filled performance.

free battle

Max Power: 7/10 Looked to be positive and play forwards at pace whenever he got the ball, providing great impetus in midfield. If Watmore can play at this level consistently, it could completely change the trajectory of our season. An outstanding all round performance. Lynden Gooch: 7/10 The quietest of Sunderland's front four, the American still managed to finish off the Black Cats best team goal of the season. Chris Maguire: 8/10 Buried a terrific free kick and orchestrated a super team goal. Will Grigg: 8/10 Looked sharp and confident all night, Grigg's refound swagger was best showcased in his excellently weighted through ball for Watmore's opener. (SUB) Marc McNulty: 7/10 Brought further quality and arrogance to our play, the mini marksman was unlucky to see his brilliant solo effort barely sail over the crossbar. (SUB) Conor McLaughlin: 6/10 Managed a decent cameo. (SUB) Benji Kimpioka: n/a Brought on in the dying minutes for his first appearance of the season. Man of the Match Duncan Watmore!
