Matches like these, in the end, should result in comfortable wins for Man United.

Manchester United are hosting Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford on Thursday night, as the Red Devils are setting out to win their third match of the Europa League campaign. Two weeks ago, these two sides met, as United won 1-0 from Anthony Martial's spot-kick. This time around, we would like to see things go a little bit differently. Comfortable Victory Obviously, one thing we would like to keep from that match is the victory. In the end, Man United got the job done in Belgrade and won the three points, but it was far from pretty or anything with a real quality that this team showed.

Three Things We Would Like To See From Man United Against Partizan

In fact, Partizan were much the better side in that second half and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team did not make a single shot on target in open play. That is why this time we want to see the team win comfortably. Matches like these, in the end, should result in comfortable wins for Man United. It is just another match the Devils should win. But the fact that it might not be like that this time tells a lot. Getting a win with a clean-sheet would be the best, especially if that means we will finally see some free-flowing display from the front five or six players. Such patterns of play have been often non-existent, even since the days of Jose Mourinho. Sides like Partizan, who want to play a bit more expansive, are a great opposition to try and achieve that. Fred Bossing The Midfield Another thing we would like to see is Fred starting against Partizan and bossing the midfield. Ever since joining Man United from Shakhtar in a deal worth 50 million pounds, Fred has been far from a player you would pay such money for. It is not like this match will change that opinion drastically about him, but it would be nice to see from him a really good performance that could possibly start something good. Fred has had some good performances in these 15 months, that is definitely the case, but those matches have been rare and even when things were good, they were mostly in defensive part of the game. But United do not need both him and Scott McTominay to do the job defensively, one of them must take more risks and try to create something out of nothing. The Brazilian should be that player for United, at least against a weaker opposition and in the absence of Paul Pogba. Kids To Take Their Chances It is still not completely known who will play against Partizan, but it is fair to expect a couple of youngsters getting a start. One of them could definitely be Brandon Williams who had a strong outing against the same opposition in Belgrade. Whoever of those youngsters it might be, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes or someone else, it would be great to see Man United kids do well at Old Trafford just a day after the 33rd anniversary of Sir Alex Ferguson taking over the team.
