They will all reopen today - Wednesday, May 20 - and will be open from 11am until 10pm. According to the fast food chain, the drive-thrus have been chosen as they are close to the company's distribution centres. Sadly for us, Leicester is not on this list, so it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for our Big Mac fix. Great ideas for things to do in Leicestershire!

Here's the restaurants where drive-thru lanes will open from today: Bedfordshire Dunstable - Luton Rd Watford (Garston) Luton - Chaul End Lane Luton Leagrave Luton Retail Park Gipsy Lane Cambridgeshire Peterborough - Bourges Boulevard Peterborough - Eye Green Peterborough - Boongate Peterborough - Glinton Peterborough - Hampton Peterborough - Morrisons Essex Boreham Interchange Chelmsford - Riverside Chelmsford - Regiment Business Park Chelmsford - Westway Suffolk Ipswich Cardinal Park Ipswich Ranelagh Rd Ipswich Ravenswood Ipswich Whitehouse Hertfordshire Bushey Watford Hertfordshire Arms Kent Beechings Way Bobbing - Sheppey Way Gillingham - Bowaters Rochester - Medway City Estate Rochester - Medway Valley Park Sittingbourne Strood London North Cheam Sutton - Oldfields Rd Hounslow - Travellers Friend Surrey Staines - Two Rivers Retails Park Staines - London Rd They will all operate from 11am until 10pm, and there will be a capped spend of £25 per car. Customers will also be encouraged to pay by contactless payment methods wherever possible. There will be perspex screens at drive-thru windows and employees wearing protective equipment, as well as Perspex screens and floor markings in specific areas in the restaurant and kitchen. All McDonald's employees will be asked to confirm they are fit and able to work, and the company will use contactless thermometers with temperatures taken on arrival at work for every shift. Social distancing has been introduced in the kitchens and service areas to help create a safe working environment for restaurant teams. Restaurants will return with smaller teams, offering a limited menu.
