Melissa was left 'heartbroken' after 21-year-old Beckett died on Wednesday following a battle with opioid addiction. In the wake of the tragic news, Ben, 54, tweeted the Grammy winner: 'Sending love and deepest condolences to @metheridge in this incredibly hard time.' The Zoolander star – whose actor father Jerry Stiller passed away earlier this week – was replying to Melissa's devastating statement about Beckett's death. The 58-year-old singer had written: 'Today I joined the hundreds of thousands of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction. 'My son Beckett, who was just 21, struggled to overcome his addiction and finally succumbed to it today.
He will be missed by those who loved him, his family and friends.'
