The unfortunate incident took place while he was returning from training on the road to Pordic, near the town of Saint-Brieuc. The last reports released stated that the firefighters were called at the location around 4:20 PM. No further official statement has been made about the incident. Nathael Julan last appeared in a tie between Guingamp and Lorient in a Ligue 2 fixture.
