New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley was held in check for three-plus quarters by the Dallas Cowboys Monday night, tallying 34 total yards on 15 touches. But as we have seen throughout his tremendous young career, Barkley's game-breaking ability showed up big time when his team needed it the most. Down 23-15 in the fourth quarter, Barkley caught a screen from Daniel Jones and turned it up field for 65 yards. It really is something to behold. Barkley can change the game on a dime.
We're following his fantasy salary, performances, and news updates throughout the season. New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley entered the 2019 season with big expectations. He averaged five yards per carry as a rookie en route to a monster 1,307 yard, 11 touchdown performance. He met all expectations as a rookie, and that had him flying off the top of fantasy football draft boards entering season two. Barkley picked up where he left off with 227 yards and a touchdown in his first two games, but suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He missed three games and returned in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals. Barkley has not been spectacular since returning, but he is making progress back with the Giants shaky offense. He had 72 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against Arizona, and followed that up with 143 total yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions. We'll be tracking Barkley as the season progresses. We'll have updates on his DraftKings salary, weekly performance, injury news, and more the rest of the 2019 regular season.
