Nigella Lawson is appearing on TV screens tonight in Simply Nigella, during which the chef will aim to create inspiring and mouth-watering recipes. Many of this who tune in will note the chef is looking svelte and healthy. Nigella relied on yoga to slim down, as well as eating a little less.
The laid-back chef lost two stone over two years with one exercise famed for its relaxing effects. Nigella's relaxed cooking methods have seeped into her weight loss methods too. Nigella slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 12 in recent times. Nigella said: "I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn't do it." However, there is a very important caveat to her weight loss methods. "I do yoga three times a week," she said. Many will related to the sentiment. Putting in hours on the treadmill, while effective, is not for everyone long term. Age, too, is a concern of Nigella's when it comes to her workouts. While she doesn't look it, she is in her 60s. The chef added: "The older I get the more I realise I have got to do lots of stretching. "So even if I'm not doing yoga, I make myself do lots of stretching."
