pic.twitter.com/INla7GT1rX — Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) October 28, 2020 FC Dallas looks to take their playoff push in the right direction as they host expansion side Inter Miami CF for the first time. FC Dallas has one win in their last seven games while Miami is doing pretty well, with three wins in their last five games. FC Dallas against expansion teams - Dallas has a 9-6-4 all-time record in first games against expansion sides, and a 14-2-3 record against them when playing at Toyota Stadium. These two did square off way back in preseason play but who actually remembers this year's preseason anyways? Key player for FC Dallas - Michael Barrios - Can we get some offense tonight, please?

Seriously. FC Dallas has scored one goal in their last four games, so something has to give tonight, you'd think. Barrios' speed should be a factor in this one as he goes up against some familiar faces in Brek Shea and Victor Ulloa. FC Dallas were held scoreless again with their trip to Utah in their 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake over the weekend. Tonight, they try to remedy that the make their final playoff push to end the 2020 campaign. The inconsistency of this team has made it really hard to predict how they'll perform - one game they'll look like the best in the league, other times they look like the reincarnation of Chivas USA. Can Dallas get a win again? Forget that, can they actually score? Or will this be the one where they dump all their frustrations and put up 7 tonight? Let us know in the comments! FC Dallas will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host David Beckham's Inter Miami on Wednesday. This particular fixture is much anticipated as it will be the first time the two teams meet in the Major League Soccer. Dallas manager Luchi Gonzalez is hoping the home ground advantage will count in their favour following their recent disappointing display of results. "It's an important point that I'm sure will make a difference at the end," Gonzalez said after the side's draw at the weekend. "But we've got to move on quickly. We can't be high or low. We just need to be steady and look forward to the opportunity we have now to play home again." FC Dallas have won just one game in their past seven matches played and defender Leandro Gonzalez Pirez urged his teammates to go above and beyond to change their fortune come Wednesday. "We still haven't sealed anything," Pirez said. "We have to go match by match, and we have to prepare for the coming match in the best way possible. We need the maximum number of points possible. "(The win over Orlando City was) a good boost to our spirits - it gives us confidence for what's left of the season. We have to go to Dallas and push to bring home three points or whatever will help us move up." Source: ESPN While the injury concerns for FC Dallas have remained largely unchanged in recent weeks, there is going to be one noticeable absence tonight as the club hosts Inter Miami CF for the first time. Veteran defender Reto Ziegler announced on his Instagram stories that he is sitting out Wednesday's game to quarantine as a precaution. Kudos to FC Dallas announcer Mark Followill for snagging a screen shot of his account to announce the news. No Reto Ziegler for FC Dallas game vs Inter Miami tonight. Announced on his IG that he's going to self quarantine tonight vs Inter Miami. @SteveDavis90 and I have the broadcast of the game at 730p on @FOXSportsSW pic.twitter.com/ocTZczAxgO — Mark Followill (@MFollowill) October 28, 2020 Ziegler's story says that a family friends tested positive recently for COVID-19 and that as a precaution, he would sit out tonight's game. Good to see that he has been testing negative and has no symptoms. While I know it may be upsetting for some fans to see him take this route, I definitely appreciate Ziegler's stance at this situation by putting the health of his family and himself first here. Now the question will become, who replaces him in the lineup? Matt Hedges did return to action last weekend in Utah for a 20 minute or so spell in the draw with Real Salt Lake. FC Dallas manager Luchi Gonzalez did say afterwards that he wasn't not fully fit to go a full 90 minutes. We will have to wait and see if the veteran defender can muster up a way to go the full 90 or if Gonzalez will shift tactics tonight to make up for him only going 45-60 minutes. Could we see Callum Montgomery earn his first start after returning from loan in San Antonio?
