Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer have announced six live shows for early next year. The pair will not be performing a Big Night Out style comedy show, but discussing their 30-year TV career in an 'audience with...' format. Fans will also get the chance to ask the pair questions. The dates are: Monday February 10: Nottingham Playhouse Tuesday February 11: Leeds City Varieties Wednesday February 12: Leeds City Varieties Thursday February 13: Buxton Opera House Monday February 17: Birmingham New Alexandra Theatre Tuesday February 18: Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House The news comes after the second season of the revived Big Night Out completed its second series on BBC Four last night (read our review of episode one here) and as Mortimer has found new success in the angling programme he makes with Paul Whitehouse. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, priced £25.

Instead of character comedy skits, the duo will be talking about their 30 plus years of working together on stage and screen. An Evening With Vic & Bob comes to Nottingham Playhouse on Monday, February 10. Tickets go on sale on tomorrow (Friday, December 20).

Bob tweeted: "We is doing one of those shows where we chat about our careers.. maybe some Q and A.. you know like what old entertainers do." The show is restricted to ages 16 and over only. They started out playing pubs and clubs but quickly graduated to TV with Vic Reeves Big Night Out on Channel 4 in 1990. In 1993, the pair moved to BBC2 with sketch show The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer. Other hits include Bang Bang, It's Reeves and Mortimer, Monkey Trousers, comedy quiz Shooting Stars, plus dramas The Weekenders, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and House of Fools. After touring in 2015 and 2016 to celebrate their 25th anniversary, they returned to TV this year with a rebooted Big Night Out on BBC Four. Of late Bob Mortimer has appeared alongside Paul Whitehouse in three series of Gone Fishing for BBC2.
