The Senagelese has signed a one-year contract at the City Ground on a free transfer and is expected to challenge Brice Samba for the number one position. Diallo, whose last club was Genclerbirligi, is expected to go straight into Forest's squad for the game to face Cardiff City this weekend as the Reds look for their first victory of the season. The 28-year-old has plenty of experience and played under Lamouchi at Rennes during his one-year spell as the French club's manager which began in 2017. Diallo made 18 appearances for Rennes but enjoyed loan spells at Le Havre and Caykur Rizespor.
A graduate from the prized Clairefontaine academy, he then moved to Genclerbirligi but has now decided to move to England where he look to help ignite Forest's start to the season in which they have lost both of their opening games. He has also represented France at under-19 and 20 levels but decided to switch his allegiance to Senegal and has won 19 caps for his country. The crowning moment of his career came when he was named in Senegal's 23-man squad to play in the World Cup in Russia. Thanks, your email has been added to our newsletter.
