(CNN) Three people have been wounded in a stabbing incident in the Dutch city of The Hague, police said Friday evening. Police are looking for the suspect. "Stabbing incident with multiple wounded on the Big Market Street in The Hague. Emergency Services are on the scene. More information to follow from this account," police tweeted in Dutch.

Police have asked eyewitnesses to come forward and said the situation is "complex." The incident happened at a busy shopping street in the center of the city. Emergency services are at the scene and a cordon has been put up at the main shopping street of the Dutch city. Pictures from the area show several dozen onlookers behind police fencing trying to get a glimpse of the aftermath of the attack. It comes as a man with a knife killed two people at London Bridge today and was shot dead by police.

The Hague police said in a statement that they were looking for a man, about 45 to 50 years old, in a grey tracksuit. Spokeswoman Mariie Kuiper said it is not clear whether the knife attack was a terror incident.
