A man has died after being stabbed to death in west Hull. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Peel Street, close to the junction between Beverley Road and Spring Bank at around 8.45pm on October 7. Eyewitnesses said they had also heard the police helicopter circling overhead, with passersby reporting that there had been a stabbing. A number of people have been arrested in relation to the assault and remain in police custody. Humberside Police confirmed in the early hours of October 8 a man had died from his injuries.

Officers remain close to the cordon in Peel Street this morning. A white tent has been erected on a pavement on Wellington Lane.
