The long-awaited remake of the summer reality TV show airs tonight on ITV 2 at 9PM, but it seems the drama has already begun. Earlier this week aristocrat 23-year-old Ollie from Cornwall sparked fury when Instagram posts advocating his hunting business, Cornish Sporting Agency were exposed. But Love Island bosses have 'no intention' of axing alleged game hunter Ollie. The photos of Ollie posing next a warthog, water buffalo and giant eland, were removed before Ollie was announced as a Love Island contestant.

His website offered a variety of personalised hunting trips in Mozambique and South Africa as well as bird-shooting and deer stalking. The site was taken down in 2018. But despite a considerable amount of people wanting to remove Ollie from the show, a source told the Daily Mail: "It is highly unlikely Ollie will be booted off the series. He's part of the lineup and already filmed the first episode – bosses see no reason to kick him off." "Love Island cast Ollie out of thousands of applicants and are sticking to their decision. "They're hoping this will all blow over once the audience gets to know Ollie after seeing him on screen." Friends of the soon-to-be reality star have defended his work as a "passionate conservationist," who has a history of working with anti-poaching units, claiming the photos actually show Ollie culling sick animals.

Culling is the selective killing of animals. This process is necessary for maintaining the health of the herd - slaughtering those who are a 'threat' to the pack's survival, this includes those sick animals. The Mirror was told: "There is a very big and important difference between trophy hunting and the conversation work Ollie has previously been involved in." "At no point has Ollie organised or booked anybody to go to Africa to shoot game." (Image: ITV) Ollie recently denied the accusation on his Twitter and shared that he would be leaving the show. These tweets have since been deleted. A number of people have been vocal about the issue, one person tweeted: "That Ollie Williams on the new love island series is a trophy hunter and has loads of pics of him next to endangered animals he's killed, and he's going on love island???

boot him off, doesn't deserve a platform." Another agreed: "Actually can't believe that ITV even considered putting someone who does this for 'fun' on national television." Luisa Collins, runner-up of series nine The Apprentice also said: Which has former Love Island contestants like Kady Mcdermott (season two) and Olivia Attwood (season three) commenting, "Disgusting!!! I completely agree with you! He should not be allowed on such a great TV show and then allowed a platform! He should be removed," and "This is disgusting!!!!!!" respectively. A petition pleading for the removal of Ollie from the show has also been shared, and currently has over 9,000 signatures. *Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 Sign up to FREE daily email alerts from CornwallLive - Daily Subscribe Thank you for subscribing See our privacy notice Invalid Email Cornwall's Ollie Williams has divided Love Island audiences already. The aristocrat landed himself in a spot of bother earlier this week before even entering the villa. The 23-year-old aristocrat was accused of game hunting, with sources alleging that now-deleted photos saw him pose beside dead animals. The images appeared to show Ollie proudly grinning beside a warthog, water buffalo and giant eland to promote hunting business Cornish Sporting Agency. But a source close to Ollie slammed any insinuation that Ollie hunts for sport. And ITV chiefs allegedly refused to bow to social media pressure and kick him off the show. Tonight, eagle-eyed fans noticed that he introduced himself as a 'farmer'. According to his Love Island profile, the blonde listed his occupation as "land owner" and regularly brags about his booze-fuelled dinner parties, luxury holidays and lavish social life on Insatgram. One viewer said: "Did Ollie just call himself a farmer??? Another wrote: "'I'm a farmer' Ollie is treating this show like Undercover Boss #LoveIsland." A third posted: "'I'm a farmer' Ollie absolutely dying to reveal his wealth to get in on the game. But sure, doesn't want to brag about it even though he opened with 'I WILL NEVER BE POOR' #LoveIsland." A following fan added: "Do you think Ollie knows "you know I'm a farmer" isn't gonna get him girls #LoveIsland." Another said: "Ollie said farmer, the audacity#LoveIsland." A later viewer added: "Lord Ollie aka Farmer Giles. Loving paiges eyes What utter decadence #LoveIsland." Another posted: "I'm sorry but did Ollie just call himself a farmer???!! #LoveIsland." Nearly six months have now passed since Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea won Love Island 2019 and, while unlike Molly-Mae & Tommy and Maura & Curtis, they didn't last long on the outside, Cupid is getting ready to take aim earlier than ever. Ever since it was announced last year that Love Island would air two series for the first time in 2020, excitement has been building - as were the rumours about who might be heading into the villa for the show, which will be hosted by Laura Whitmore. Well now the new Love Island lineup are officially in the villa. Sunday's new series launch show will see the Love Island girls enter ahead of the first coupling up and then the bombshell of two late arrivals - twins Eve and Jess Gale. Speaking of coupling up, one of the boys up for grabs was Ollie. Who is Ollie on Love Island? The 23-year-old land owner has a very interesting claim to fame. He explains "My father is Lord of the Manor of Lanhydrock. The family title is Viscount Clifden. When my father passes away or abdicates, as the eldest child, I will take on the titles and the estate. I'm the heir of Lanhydrock." And Love Island fans think he's a dead ringer for Max Branning from Eastenders!
