Mortal Kombat 11 Sheeva Trailer Is out Ahead of Aftermath

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is still four days away, but that has not stopped Warner Bros. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath promises to be quite the occasion. The launch trailer shows off heated gameplay, dramatic cinematics to introduce the story, and plenty of the series' trademark gore. On top of new fighters in Sheva, Fujin, and the extremely exciting guest character RoboCop, the DLC provides brand new story content revolving around sorcerer Shang Tsung traveling through time to reclaim a tool needed to save their timeline. It sounds like a ton to indulge in – the DLC expansion promises to give fans plenty of reasons to dive right back into the popular fighter.

Will you pick up Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath? Are you excited for its new characters and gameplay? Are you looking forward to Friendships making their long-awaited return on the same day as the more robust DLC? NetherRealm Studios has gone full-Atlus with its marketing drive this week, dropping a slew of trailers for its upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 expansion Aftermath. This latest video takes a brief look at one of the DLC pack's new roster addition, klassic MK kombatant Sheeva.

Queen of the Shokan - the four-armed race that gave us original Mortal Kombat sub-boss Goro - Sheeva was introduced in Mortal Kombat 3 as the devoted bodyguard of Sindel, (though more accurately was there to prevent Kitana from reaching her mother and revealing the truth about the resurrected queen's passing). Sheeva, to be fair, has not been treated like much of a star throughout her entire MK run, but her new appearance in Aftermath looks to rectify that, offering the fearsome warrior a turn in the spotlight as a legitimate series star. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is a paid DLC expansion that bundles a five-chapter epilogue along with Sheeva, Fujin, RoboCop, and a trio of klassic skins. A free update, which arrives on all platforms the same day, will add four new stages, along with stage fatalities and Friendships. Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Playable for the first time since Mortal Kombat (2011), Sheeva is back in all her four-armed glory. She appeared in Mortal Kombat 11, but was not playable and she did not fight. As she is returning to the fight for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, she now has her own gameplay trailer. This trailer appears to have Johnny Cage narrating, which is a first for character reveals in this game. Sheeva is one of three new characters coming with the Aftermath expansion.

The expansion also includes a new story and three new skin packs. You can also check out the story trailer here. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath comes out on May 26th for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia. Which new character will you most like to play as?
