In October, Julia Louis-Dreyfus teamed with Jason Alexander and Larry David for a virtual "Seinfeld" reunion. Now JLD is starring in a "Veep" reunion and script reading. In "Veep Uncut," hosted by Stephen Colbert, the cast will gather virtually for a table read of the Emmy-nominated episode "Mother." (Season five, episode four, which aired in 2016). The event will be livestreamed once at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, Dec. 6. Joining Louis-Dreyfus will be Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Sam Richardson, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Sarah Sutherland, Clea DuVall, Kathy Najimy, Sufe Bradshaw, Dan Bakkedahl, Nelson Franklin, Lennon Parham, Lauren Bowles, David Pasquesi, Usman Ally, Sarayu Blue, Matt Oberg, and David Mandel.

Special guests include Bryan Cranston, Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, Don Cheadle, Mark Hamill, Beanie Feldstein and Paul Scheer. This episode of the acclaimed HBO comedy was partially set at a New Jersey wind farm, where Louis-Dreyfus' character, Selina Meyer, addresses a crowd. It's there that her assistant, Gary, finds out her mother has had a stroke. Selina has not had the greatest relationship with her mother. "Veep" premiered in 2012 and bowed in 2019.

Louis-Dreyfus won six consecutive Emmys for playing Selina Meyer. Now this is what I like to see! #VeepUncut already raised $60K. The more money we raise, the more voters in Georgia we can reach. Donate today to laugh your way through our reunion and then all the way to the Senate! pic.twitter.com/gFIfjiRNnF — Julia Louis-Dreyfus (@OfficialJLD) December 6, 2020 The "Seinfeld" reunion raised money for the Texas Democratic Party. The "Veep" reunion and script reading will benefit America Votes, a group supporting those working to turn out the Democratic vote in Georgia for the Senate runoff elections in January. Other TV and film reunions of the pandemic besides "Seinfeld" have included "The Princess Bride," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "The West Wing," "Happy Days," "Superbad," "Seinfeld" and "The Nanny." A "Goonies" reunion and script reading on Sunday — the second this year — raised $135,000 for No Kid Hungry, which supplies free meals for children. Hey @MrTonyHale, #VeepUncut is just hours away! Julia Louis-Dreyfus and showrunner David Mandel have been teasing the virtual read all week which will feature original cast members and a couple of special guests performing the "Mother" episode from Season 5. The event takes place tonight at 8pm ET and helps support voter turnout in the Georgia Senate Runoffs. This marks another virtual reunion for the Emmy-winning HBO comedy as Louis-Dreyfus and company gathered online in October to raise funds for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin during the general election. "We're ready to perform the "Mother" episode for #VeepUncut and #ShowUpForGeorgia while we're at it." wrote Louis-Dreyfus on Instagram. "Book your spot at ShowUpForGeorgia.com (link in bio) and support @AmericaVotes' voter turnout campaign in the Georgia runoffs. Tomorrow night at 8PM ET!" Louis-Dreyfus points out that the episode for tonight's table read is available HBOMax. The virtual table read will feature the uncut script from the episode which spotlights a recount in a presidential election — something that is wildly relevant. Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, Timothy Simons, Clea DuVall, Matt Walsh, Gary Cole and Sarah Sutherland, Sufe Bradshaw will join Louis-Dreyfus and Mandel for the table read. to add to all of this greatness, Stephen Colbert, Don Cheadle, Mark Hamill, Paul Scheer, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt and Bryan Cranston will also make cameos during the table read. The event comes ahead of the December 7 deadline to register to vote in Georgia.
