The A358 is blocked both ways after a crash today (October 22). Police were called to the scene near Taunton at around 2pm after a three vehicle crash. Officers say the collision occurred near to the Toby Carvery restaurant, close to junction 25 of the M5. There is heavy traffic disruption in the area. It is currently unclear how long this incident will last.

Members of the public have reported seeing ambulance and police on the scene, with traffic diverted away from the A358. The crash took place at around 2pm. #A358 closed in both directions due to an accident involving three vehicles between Henlade and #M5 Junction 25. A South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: "We were called at 1.45pm about a road traffic incident on the A358, and our crews have been at the scene treating one patient."
