Warning: if you haven't seen The Mandalorian Season 2's new episode yet, this news contains major spoilers so read at your own risk! Chapter 12 of The Mandalorian is another exhilarating ride and although it can be considered as another filler episode (from my point of view, at least), it is still a pretty solid entry for Season 2. Titled "The Siege", it marks the return of Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and just like previous episodes, the stakes couldn't get any higher. Now, a lot of you are probably well aware of the controversy surrounding Gina Carano's personal views and there's no doubt that the backlash she's been getting has quite the effect on her badass character. In fact, some fans actually had a hard time watching the episode, particularly Carano's scenes, regardless of how good she was in it.

The Mandalorian Fans Share Mixed Reactions to Gina Carano's Chapter 12 Return

I knew it was coming, but as a stalwart believer in not separating the art from the people who make the art, it's a damn shame that Gina Carano has returned to #TheMandalorian — Iain MacKinnon (@MacKinnonPlus) November 20, 2020 There's a lot of cute and fun moments but the thing I wanna say most about today's episode of #TheMandalorian is that Cara Dune is a fantastic character but Gina Carano has to go for season 3. #FireGinaCarano —?️‍?Dylan Henning?️‍? (@dylanhenning) November 20, 2020 It's funny to see Gina Carano on The Mandalorian fighting a fascist government that was removed, but is still clinging desperately to power, while she is on this here website doing the exact opposite. — How Could Paul Be Any Worse? (@FatheroftheFear) November 20, 2020 why is gina carano still in the mandalorian can disney fire her already — evan (@kimchaew6n) November 20, 2020 I really loved Cara Dune but Gina Carano's racist and transphobic bs has ruined her for me #TheMandalorian — noni och (@NinNons) November 20, 2020 But for the number of people who expressed their displeasure over Dune's epic comeback, there are still fans who were beyond thrilled to see her back. A lot of them even lauded Gina for her performance. See some of the reactions here: So happy to have #CaraDune back on #TheMandalorian! @ginacarano kicks ass as usual and really steals the show in Episode 12 for me. A lot of great moments. I need more of Marshal Dune! Heck, give me a Cara Dune spin-off series #DisneyPlus! pic.twitter.com/BVmGANiJRh — Becki Schildhouse (@BeckiFett) November 20, 2020 You were fantastic in this episode of #TheMandalorian I nearly cried when you said everyone? Please keep blessing us with you awesomeness! @ginacarano — Merry Mayhem??️‍?Voo/Doo/PooNanny (@Merryb2184) November 20, 2020 gina carano could beat the shit outta me and I would thank her? #TheMandalorian pic.twitter.com/ZnIA3s6v4j — Shaye (@shayye_) November 20, 2020 #TheMandalorian @ginacarano killed it in this episode!! — zack in the motherbox (@ZMotherbox) November 20, 2020 @ginacarano is simply a bad-ass! I love every episode she is in #TheMandalorian — Steven Brenes (@SteveDarell) November 20, 2020 Personally, I'm not that bothered about Gina's personal stand regarding socio-political issues because that's her thing and it's not like she's forcing everyone to buy her claims and to join her cause. If anything, fans should just learn to separate the actors' personal and professional lives. I mean, as long as they're doing a good job with their work, that's all that matters to me, quite frankly. In this case, Gina Carano did fantastic in Episode 4 so mad props to her. The Mandalorian Season 2 is streaming on Disney+.
