JoJo Siwa ditched her signature hairstyle and sparkly bow while participating in TikTok's viral "Wipe It Down" challenge on Monday night, the eve of her 17th birthday. While the "Dance Moms" star appears in her usual glittering garb and side pony at the start of the clip, she then "wipes down" her mirror to reveal a softer, more natural look, complete with long, loose blond waves and a casual Gucci graphic tee. Siwa's video racked up tens of millions of views along with plenty of praise. "Yes jojo let down those wavy golden locks," one person commented, while another asked in enthusiastic all-caps, "IS SHE SAYING THAT HER NEW AGE WILL MEAN SHE TRIES OUT DIFFERENT STYLES????" It's not the first time the Nebraska native has experimented with a more minimalist look; she similarly let her hair down for another TikTok video in late April, and fans similarly lost their minds.

Shortly after, Siwa reassured fans that she's not permanently ditching her signature style. "Recently I've shown myself looking different," she captioned another clip. "Not the classic rainbow, sparkles, and side ponytail with a JoJo bow." Continued the teenage star, "I've been hated on for YEARS for dressing 'young' and 'childish' — people think this is me 'changing.' LOL nope!!! I just love who I am! This is just me at night or in the morning!" JoJo has always been a little ray of sunshine.

In a video posted to her Instagram, 4-year-old JoJo lists all of her favorite things: "I like to dance, I like to sing and I love, love, love to act." Her other interests? Hannah Montana, the way Michelle Tanner says, "You got it, dude," on Full House and Mr. Krabs' laugh on SpongeBob SquarePants. Well, after all that drama, it looks like JoJo is continuing to do whatever makes her happy and ignoring other people's opinions, uploading a new video where she took out her iconic bow and let her hair down. The challenge sees users wipe away their "real" image to reveal either a cosplay costume or an alter-ego.

In another video, JoJo also directly addresses the speculation that she's starting to ditch her usual glittery style because her contract is almost finished. She's not, by the way. In one of her most watched Roasting The Haters™️ TikToks, JoJo focuses on all the tired comments people leave on her videos, including one that compares her to Charli D'Amelio, who is slightly younger than her. The caption on this one reads: "If you yell at me, I'm gonna cry..... but if you hate on me, I'm gonna laugh hahah!" JoJo sees your jokes about her hairline and raises you...

even better jokes about her hairline x JoJo has once again responded to the continuous memes about her height in the best way. She's even commented on the sudden shift in messages people left on her videos ever since she started calling people out. Duetting with one of her haters? Whew! Taking an opportunity to promote her own merch while collecting a few people? Queen! Recreating memes about her being bald? CHECK! It's not the first time JoJo has directly addressed the comments about her on social media. After noticing hundreds of tweets about how tall she is, JoJo posted a video titled "The Truth On Why I'm So Tall..." and her response was amazing: "I have literally seen so many tweets about why I'm so tall," she said. "I don't know, maybe I've just been tall my whole life so it doesn't phase me, but it phases some of you guys!" In the Q&A video, JoJo is asked how she responds to her haters, to which she replies, "Honestly, I laugh at it. I just focus on the nice people, not on the negative people." With so many people stuck at home as quarantining and social distancing continues into May, TikTok has continued to be a place where folks can flex some serious creativity and take on some challenges — remember "Flip the Switch" that Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez pulled off? The latest trend that's burning up the digital airwaves? It's the "Wipe it Down" Challenge, and like the "Flip the Switch," it involves setting up your phone to face a mirror. It starts with someone wiping down the mirror with glass cleaner, and when you swipe, the image in the mirror switches back and forth with every wipe. It's the perfect thing for these crazy times when we're washing and wiping everything in sight. Influencer JoJo Siwa was trending Tuesday morning with her entry: Here are some other good ones:
