We're in the throes of the international break this weekend, and at least one member of Tottenham Hotspur is enjoying himself. Ryan Sessegnon scored a beauty today for the England U21s in a Euro U21 Qualifying match against Kosovo. Check it out! That's a nice run and an even nicer finish. But he wasn't done!
Late in the match Sessegnon then went one further, dispossessing a Kosovan defender and feeding 17-year old Jude Bellingham to score. England dismantled Kosovo 6-0 in the match, with Arsenal products scoring four of the goals — striker Eddie Nketiah had a hat trick and Reiss Nelson added another to round everything out. The win keeps the Young Lions on top of their U21 Euro qualifying group and they're hoping to end there to be one of the automatic qualifiers for next summer's competition. As for Sessegnon, I'm pretty sure he's hoping Jose Mourinho was watching that strike! Ryan Sessegnon was among the goals during England Under-21's emphatic 6-0 victory against their Kosovo counterparts earlier this evening to extend their perfect record in Euro qualifying.
Aidy Boothroyd's Young Lions were already 4-0 ahead before Sessegnon found the back of the net. His goal came in the 82nd minute when he showed good pace to get away from his marker and received the ball inside the Kosovan penalty area. With his first touch, he fired a curling left-footed effort beyond the goalkeeper and celebrated with a Black Panther pose in tribute to Chadwick Boseman.
