Sainsbury's car park, King's Lynn, closed Published by Grace Marner 9:32am 12th October 2019. The Sainsbury's car park in King's Lynn has been shut. Police have blocked it off with tape. It seems to be due to an incident that happened overnight. We have yet to have information confirmed by police but will bring you the latest updates as we get them.

The car park at Sainsburys in King's Lynn, just over the Norfolk border remains closed this morning (Saturday October 12). According to Norfolk Police, someone has been arrested for assault while their alleged victim remains in hospital. They said the cordon was likely to be in place all afternoon while the scene is assessed. A photograph taken by a witness shows the large area that has been blocked off to the public as a result of the incident.
The King's Lynn Superstore is located at the Vancouver Centre, just off Railway Road. It is as of yet unknown the extent of the victim's injuries, and the police were unable to disclose any more information at this time.
