SCOTT BROWN turned peacemaker on Saturday at Celtic Park when he put his arm around Nir Bitton after the player had a post-match square up with a Ross County player. However, his overall reaction to the incident was hilarious. The Celtic captain can be seen taking Nir away from the situation but laughing hysterically while he does it. Brown continued to find it funny as they headed towards the tunnel. It's probably because Nir is a very placid and laid back individual and to see him squaring up to an opposing player must have tickled Broony's funny bone.
Nir came on as a second half substitute when the game was well won already. The match which Celtic won 6-0 wasn't an ill tempered affair by any means so the flashpoint after the match came out of nowhere. Celtic had been stewing in a defeat for almost two weeks before the Ross County game and they took their frustrations out on the Dingwall side.
