Neighbours is welcoming back Courtney Act for a guest stint this week, following a Mardi Gras-themed cameo earlier in the year. And to mark RuPaul's Drag Race star Courtney Act's appearance in a multi-episode arc of the Australian soap, Courtney has recorded her own version of the iconic theme tune (and you can listen to it in the video above). Courtney will return to Neighbours in today's episode (June 23), where she'll be visiting Erinsborough to perform at the Lassiters Pride event. "I was totally stoked to sing my own version of the Neighbours theme song," she said.

"What an honour! And like, try telling my 12-year-old self that one day I would get to record the Neighbours theme song! It's actually just like, very hard to fathom how exciting that is." Having last appeared on the soap back in February, Courtney's multi-episode arc won't just see her perform at Pride. She'll also have a business proposal for Paul Robinson, who doesn't realise Courtney and Shane Jenek are the same person. "He doesn't realise that Shane and Courtney are the same person and is quite dismissive of Shane, and panders to Courtney," Courtney teased. This content is imported from Twitter. So to actually be in Erinsborough was really cool, to be at Lassiters – it was a really fun experience. "It is so exciting to be back on Neighbours and to have actual acting and lines, and it's been so fun to see little clips from when it aired in Australia. I haven't seen it all yet, so I'm looking forward to watching it here, on TV in the UK." Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
