As noted earlier this week, Braun Strowman was originally scheduled for a match against Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at the WWE TLC pay-per-view. That match was scrapped because Strowman is dealing with an injury. There have been conflicting stories on the nature of the injury. Dave Meltzer reported this week that Strowman has been dealing with back spasms but WWE's official story is that he's been dealing with a sore hip. Strowman basically confirmed Meltzer's report in a post on his Instagram account.
Strowman noted that he's dealing with back issues. He wrote, "I'm bored laying around nursing this old back of mine somebody make me laugh!!!!! #CaptionThis." There is no word yet on when he will be cleared for in-ring action. He hasn't appeared at a live event since the 12/1 Starrcade show where he lost a steel cage match to Universal Champion Bray Wyatt. The match happened during the non-televised portion of the show. Here is the Instagram post where he comments on his back issues.
