The former f(x) member was found dead at her home in Seongnam today, with police saying her death was a suspected suicide. Following Sulli's passing, her agency said that the star, real name Choi Jin-ri, had 'left our side'. The statement from SM read: 'We apologise for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side.
'We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief. We express our deep condolences.' While Sully left f(x) for good in 2015, she was still signed to the agency, and released her debut solo single album Goblin in June. Advertisement Sulli held a special stage at the SM Town Theatre called Peaches Go!blin to celebrate the release. The singer joined SM Entertainment as a trainee, sharing a dorm with Taeyeon and Tiffany of Girls' Generation, before she debuted with f(x) alongside Amber, Victoria, Luna and Krystal in 2009. Sulli was friends with the late Jonghyun Picture: Instagram) In 2014, SM confirmed that Sulli would be leaving f(x) on hiatus after struggling with trolling. They said in a statement at the time: 'f(x) member Sulli became mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous, malicious comments and false rumours, and has expressed her wish to take a break from her celebrity activities for the time being. 'After careful deliberation and taking her wish into consideration, we will reduce her activities and let her take a break for the time being.' Tragically, Sulli's death comes less than two years after the tragic passing of another SM artist, Jonghyun. The SHINee singer took his own life aged 27 on 18 December 2017. Sulli was close friends with Jonghyun, and attended his funeral. Need support?
