Ultimate live stream for new fighter Terry Bogard today and you can watch it live via the YouTube video embedded above. Director Masahiro Sakurai's 45-minute presentation will start at 5am PT (1pm GMT) on Wednesday and feature "an in-depth" look at the upcoming DLC character from SNK's Fatal Fury series. Nintendo has said there will be no announcements regarding any unrevealed fighters during the live stream. A new Ver. 6.0 update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also arrive soon, Nintendo announced on Tuesday.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Terry Bogard DLC looks set for imminent release, after Nintendo added an in-game copyright notice including creator SNK. Nintendo had previously committed to releasing the veteran Fatal Fury fighting game character in November. Terry Bogard is the 4th Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character, following Banjo-Kazooie's release in Setpember.

Nintendo announced in September it will develop more DLC fighters beyond the five previously confirmed for release as part of the Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass. Ultimate's director Masahiro Sakurai recently said he feels there's "no way" the series will be able to have as many fighters or series represented again in future games. Another Nintendo Direct is coming soon, and it's going to dish out all the information you care to know about when it comes to upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate fighter, Terry Bogard. The latest Nintendo Direct show will debut at 1pm UK time on November 6, and will be focused on the Fatal Fury fighter exclusively. Yep, that means there'll be no news on other Switch games – nothing on Bayonetta 3, nothing on Animal Crossing New Horizons, nothing on Breath of the Wild 2. "Join Super #SmashBrosUltimate director Masahiro Sakurai for a roughly 45 minute video livestream featuring an in-depth look at upcoming DLC fighter, Terry Bogard from the FATAL FURY series!" notes a tweet from Nintendo. So that means we're up for a massive 45 minutes of deep dive on Terry Bogard and other updates to Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Sadly, it seems Nintendo is focusing on the short-term with this stream – there won't even be any discussion of other incoming fighters, according to official tweets from the company. "There will be no announcements regarding any unrevealed fighters during this livestream," the company confirmed. So don't expect any out-of-the-blue reveals of Doomguy or Crash Bandicoot or the horrible Goose or something. It's not all going to be about Terry, though – it's been confirmed that we can expect a massive update to Smash to arrive soon, and you can likely expect this Direct to focus on some of the headline changes coming to the game. "Ver. 6.0 of Super #SmashBrosUltimate will arrive in the near future!" Nintendo has noted. "This update includes fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible." As ever, this means you're going to have to fiddle with your replay data if you want it to be valid once the new update is applied to the game. "Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating." Expect to hear more about the game, and it's incoming balance changes, in tomorrow's livestream. We'll keep you updated as we hear more about Terry, the Direct, and everything else. SNK fans were excited to learn that the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros Ultimate is Terry Bogard, one of the most recognizable fighters from the Fatal Fury series. We're not sure exactly what Terry can do yet, but an upcoming livestream should give us some insight this week. Nintendo has announced via their Nintendo Versus Twitter account that Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai will host a 45 minute livestream of the game at 5 AM PT on November 6, showing off the upcoming fighter's abilities and fighting style. In the past, these videos have released very shortly before the characters themselves were made available to purchase: Joker, Hero and Banjo-Kazooie all followed a similar pattern. An unannounced fifth character will be added as part of the first Fighter's Pass, but more DLC characters will arrive beyond that too. In our original Super Smash Bros Ultimate review, Edmond Tran gave the game a 9/10, writing that "Ultimate's diverse content is compelling, its strong mechanics are refined, and the encompassing collection is simply superb."
