Tamar Braxton has reportedly been hospitalised after being found unresponsive in her hotel room on Thursday night. The singer, 42, was found by her boyfriend David Adefeso at the the Ritz Carlton Residences in Los Angeles, California - where the couple were staying. He called emergency services, claiming Tamar had been drinking and had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills following which she was taken to hospital, according to The Blast. Los Angeles Police Department Sources confirmed that they had received a call around 9.45 pm, reporting that a 43-year-old female had a medical emergency listed as a "possible overdose." A spokesperson for the Braxton Family Values star also told the publication: "Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day - more information will be coming in the next few days.

According to The Blast, sources confirmed that Tamar was staying at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles, near LA Live, with her boyfriend David Adefeso. The source told the publication that it was David who found her in an "unresponsive" state after which he immediately called 911 to report the incident. He said that his girlfriend had been drinking and consumed an unknown amount of prescription pills. Sources confirmed that David believes it was a possible suicide attempt. They also said that ambulances arrived at the hotel to help transport Braxton, who's also a reality TV star, to California hospital in Downtown LA. The publication also spoke to LAPD who said they received a call around 9.45 pm on July 16 in regard to a 43-year-old female who had a medical emergency listed as a "possible overdose". They also added that their officers are following the woman to the hospital for further investigation.
