The A650 Wakefield Road at Dudley Hill, Bradford, has been closed in both directions, police said.

Photographs show the highway maintenance tipper truck on its side, with a great deal of debris on the road below. It is unclear at this point if anyone was hurt in the accident, but images show the fire service on scene. The truck had turned over just before the bridge and its contents have spilled onto the road below, with large pieces of stone and debris scattered on the road. The truck's grab also looks to have come away from the vehicle. We will keep you updated on this incident in our blog below.

First West Yorks said: "Due to a RTC on Dudley Hill Roundabout - 620/617/618 services towards Holmewood will divert via Bowling Back Lane and Sticker Lane. 617 service will not be able to operate normal route to Bradford and will only be able to operate as 618 at present."
